Tour a Custom Barn in Leipers Fork, Tennessee

Our team is thrilled to give you a sneak peek into one of our recent projects—a custom-designed barn built for a family in the lovely countryside of Nashville, Tennessee in Leipers Fork. This 3-stall barn is packed with thoughtful details tailored to the family's needs. Today, we're eager to share some of the highlights with you!

First Impressions: The Entrance

As you approach the barn, you're greeted by the barn's centerpiece – imposing Barn Entry Doors. These Barn Entrance Doors feature a unique, arched design that sit on heavy-duty hinges.

The glass-filled top arch frames the Tennessee sky to allow ample sunlight to bathe the barn interior with sunlight and warmth. This glass design is even more important during the shorter days of winter. The windows in the barn doors are a design choice that pay off, bathing the interior with light and keeping things cheerful.

The substantial cross bucks at the bottom provide a nod to classic American architecture, setting the stage for the elegance within.

Comfort from the Ground Up

Once you step inside, you will immediately notice the black Rubber Pavers lining the barn's aisle. Our Rubber Pavers are 1-3/4" thick that provide a cushy underfoot that is kind to both riders and horses' tired feet. All of our Rubber Pavers include industry-leading finishes that provide a striking black color. This color contrasts the lumber found in the rest of the barn to provide an old age sophistication.

Stall Fronts: European Elegance Meets Southern Comfort

As we move past the entrance, the European Stall Fronts command our attention. Each horse stall front is a canvas showcasing the rich tones of Southern Yellow Pine, carefully stained to perfection. Imbuing the barn's interior with warmth and a sense of timelessness.

These horse stall fronts are not only aesthetically pleasing, but are crafted with socialization in mind. Our low European swooping design encourages interaction between barn mates, yet maintains an air of graceful elegance.

Each European Stall Front also features heavy-duty Grilled Feed Doors. Our Feed Doors are framed in 2" square tubing to withstand the rigors of daily use while providing you convenience to feed directly from the aisle.

Lastly, each horse stall includes heavy-duty interlocking rubber mats to provide horses with additional comfort. The horse stall door openings all include Bedding Blockers to ensure shavings stay inside the horse stall.

Flexible Design for Every Need

The barn houses three total horse stalls. On one side, there are two spacious 12x12 stalls, designed with versatility at their core. Between both Stall Fronts is a hinged horse stall partition for foaling barns. This hinged Stall Partition is moveable to turn two stalls into a spacious, larger 24x12 horse stall, ideal for foaling.

In the below photo, you can see the Stall Partition's heavy-duty bullet hinges on the right. The two Plunger Latches are then positioned on the left side of the stall partition. This design allows you to easily open and close the Stall Partition as needed during foaling season.

On the other side of the barn is a third stall. This stall includes an over-sized 16' European Stall Front making it a 16x12 stall. This ensures plenty of room for larger horses or those who just enjoy a bit more space.

We also built matching Stall Wings for the barn's storage areas. These Stall Wings are the left and right swooping parts of our European Stall Fronts. This component provides a unique, tasteful design that flows throughout the barn.

Grooming in Style

Our team also custom built Stall Partitions for the client's grooming bays. Each Grooming Stall Partition includes lumber in-fill to match the existing horse stalls. They also feature four cross tie rings for added functionality.

It’s all about creating a space where grooming transcends routine, becoming a therapeutic ritual. Our grooming bay solutions make the space more functional and enjoyable for daily grooming routines.
